Philosophy

The name Atë comes from a figure in Greek mythology.
It suggests the moment when a perfectly ordered system develops a subtle fracture, a quiet shift from which new beauty can emerge.

Rather than rebellion for destruction, the brand introduces a small dissonance into familiar ideas of beauty.
It speaks to those who find neither sweetness nor minimalism alone enough.

Production

The label is based in Tokyo and led by designer Erika Sonoda.
Garments are designed in the Tokyo studio and produced in small batches in Japan using fabrics from Japanese textile makers.
Particular care is given to material texture and balance in wear.
